Rules
Establishing clear and comprehensive rules for the MH Wilds Hub leaderboards is essential to ensure fair competition and maintain the integrity of this community. Below is the structured ruleset created by hunters for hunters.
Common Rules
- Solo Runs Only: Only solo runs are accepted; multiplayer runs are not permitted.
- Video Submission: All runs must be recorded and uploaded to platforms such as YouTube, Bilibili, or Niconico. The video should display the entire quest from start to finish, including equipment and skills used.
- Editing Restrictions: Minimal editing is allowed (e.g., music); significant cuts or alterations will lead to rejection. Editing out waiting time after showing skills is permitted.
- Clear Time Verification: If the exact time cannot be confirmed in the video, it will be recorded with a default decimal (e.g., ".99").
Rulesets
Freestyle
Freestyle play is unrestricted; all in-game tools and strategies are allowed, including the use of companions, traps, and items.
TA Wiki Rules
Designed to test pure hunting skills by restricting certain tools and items. The following are prohibited:
- Items: Flash Bombs, Sonic Bombs, Meat items, Poison Smoke Bombs, Traps, Poison Kunai, Explosive Kunai, Barrel Bombs.
- Skills: Heroics (Lv2-5), Dango Adrenaline. Fortify is allowed if it does not come into effect.
- Endemic Life: Certain creatures are prohibited, such as creatures you need to collect as an item. Creatures that activate on contact or hit are permitted.
- Environmental Mechanics: Use of certain environmental features and artillery is prohibited, such as environmental damage. Turf wars and damage from other monsters are permitted.
- Weapon Swapping: The hunt must be started and completed using the same weapon.
- Camp Usage: No changing or restocking items or equipment during the quest; fast travel is allowed.
- Gathering Items: Gathering items available in the field is permitted.
Platform-Specific Rules
PS5 and XBOX
- Data Integrity: Altering any game data, even if achievable through normal gameplay, is considered cheating.
- Modifications: Editing charms, regardless of legitimacy, is prohibited.
- Consequences: Detected cheating will result in the run being treated as unofficial and excluded from the rankings. Data from sources other than the submitted runs will not be considered.
PC
- Official Status: All PC runs are categorized separately due to the widespread use of mods and the challenges in detecting them.
- Prohibited Actions:
- Altering large monster behavior.
- Using overlays that display hidden parameters (e.g., monster HP).
- Modifying data beyond normal gameplay possibilities (e.g., Spare Shot proc chances).
- Consequences: Malicious cheating will lead to exclusion from the rankings. Data from sources other than the submitted runs will not be considered.
How to Submit
- Select Quest: Navigate to "Submit Run" to submit to your record.
- Verify Eligibility: Ensure your submission qualifies for the top rankings and adheres to the rules; check the record list that your submission will be in top 3.
- Submit Form: Click the submit button, complete the form with accurate details, and submit.
- Await Review: Accepted runs will appear in the record list; check the submission log for status updates.
